THERE ARE THREE MAIN PATHS UPON WHICH WE TRAVEL:
Our work with Caminos de Esperanza has finished. The girls that we were helping returned to El Salvador a couple of years ago. Thank you to the many people who helped to make their stay possible. We have helped many disabled people in El Salvador and now it is time to move on. Thank you especially to Father Norm Carpentier, Sharon Williams and to Patricia Hume of Maine for their wonderful support and compassion. Sr. Pauline has worked non stop since 1980 helping people without a break. She started the first prison dog program in 1981 in Washington State, then worked for years in Italy helping the African refugees who were stranded there, plus worked in two wars, the Bosnian and the Gulf War. Sr Pauline is doing other projects and is now working on her book to share her story and will keep her many friends informed through her websites. Sr. Pauline thanks everyone, especially the people of Maine for helping her with her work to help the girls from El Salvador.. and especially helping with the prison dog programs that have started all over the country. There are over two million people in prison and if we can give one person hope to change their life, then it is worth the effort to start these programs that have helped so many.. not only prisoners but the handicapped, correctional officers and the many volunteers who help the success of the programs.
